SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES FUND INVEST IN SWEDISH SOLAR COMPANY SUNCORE

Sustainable Technologies Fund, the Nordics first specialized Cleantech Fund, acquires 30% of the Swedish solar company Suncore AB.
- The world solar thermal market grows rapidly and will play an important role in fighting climate change. The Nordic countries have proved to have a strong competence in the field and we are very excited about the investment in Suncore AB, says Anders Frisk, Investment Director of Sustainable Technologies Fund.
- The team behind Suncore has developed a new type of polymer based solar thermal collector that we find very interesting, and which offers an alternative to the copper and aluminum based alternatives on the market today that are suffering from increased costs. By using new types of materials and production methods, Suncore has been able to produce a solar thermal collector that is very competitive in terms of price, weight and performance, concludes Anders Frisk.
- We are very happy and proud that Sustainable Technologies Fund has become an investor in Suncore, says Jonas Engström, co-founder and CEO of Suncore AB. - Suncore has received tremendous international interest for our solar thermal collector. To secure that we can meet the demand in terms of production capacity and an international network of suppliers and partners, we decided to work together with Sustainable Technologies Fund. They possess relevant networks and contacts in our key markets such as the USA and China, concludes Jonas Engström.
